Inner Child
Reconnect with the joy, innocence, and wonder of your inner child. Let play and curiosity guide you.
What the Inner Child card means
Your inner child is not only the wounded part of you. It is also the part that knew what fascinated you before usefulness, productivity and other people's opinions entered the room.
Think about what younger you did when nobody was grading it. Building things? Drawing? Making stories? Collecting strange objects? Asking endless questions? There may be a clue there about what still brings you alive.
When it tends to appear
This card appears when life has become overly responsible, when an old childhood feeling has been triggered, or when you need to remember what delight felt like before you learned to judge it.
Something to sit with
Childhood ritual: choose one thing you loved before age twelve and give it ten minutes today. Then ask: what did younger me know about joy that adult me has forgotten?
