Gratitude
Gratitude turns what you have into enough. A thankful heart draws in more blessings and joy.
What the Gratitude card means
Gratitude has been said so often that it has almost stopped meaning anything. So let us be specific about what this card is actually doing.
Your attention is limited, and it drifts by default toward what is missing. That is not a flaw in you; it is how attention works. Gratitude is not pretending the gaps are not there. It is deliberately turning your attention, for a moment, toward something that is already here - and noticing that the moment feels different.
It works best when it is small and true. Not "I am grateful for my health." More like: the first mouthful of tea. A message from someone who did not have to send it. The fact that the ache in your back is better than last week.
When it tends to appear
Gratitude turns up when you have been counting what is missing for a while - usually without realising you started. It also appears after a good thing that you moved past too quickly, when there is something worth going back for.
Something to sit with
Name one thing from today, smaller than you think it should be. Not something you are supposed to be grateful for. Something that actually made the day better.
